Federal Way motorcycle officer suffers serious leg injury in crash

A Federal Way motorcycle officer suffered a serious leg injury Tuesday when the bike crashed with another vehicle, according to the police department.

The agency said via twitter about 4 p.m. that the wreck near closed 16th Avenue South from South 344th Street to South 348th Street, as the Washington State Patrol investigated.

Federal Way police spokeswoman Cathy Schrock said the officer was on duty at the time. The other vehicle stayed at the scene for the investigation, she said.
