Shooting in Graham kills man, injures another after dispute over motorcycle, deputies say

Deputies responded to a report of a shooting at the 20700 block of 92nd Avenue East at 1:44 a.m. Monday, according to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department.

They found a 36-year-old man next to the street who was pronounced dead at the scene.

A second victim, a 48-year-old man, was driven to the fire station at 187th and Meridian East and then to the hospital. He had serious injuries but is expected to survive, Pierce County Sheriff’s Department spokesperson Sgt. Darren Moss told The News Tribune.

The homicide happened when a dispute broke out involving a motorcycle. The suspect fled the scene after shooting the two men. No suspects are in custody, deputies said.

Moss said the Sheriff’s Department doesn’t believe there’s a threat to the community because the dispute was contained among the people involved.

“We know this is a targeted event,” Moss said.

Investigators who the suspect is but are not identifying him to the public at this time, according to Moss.

If anyone has information on or knows the suspect, they should not make contact with that person but call 911 or report it to the Sheriff’s Department, he said.
