Man shot outside gas station in Tacoma. Detectives interviewing alleged shooter

A shooting outside a gas station in Tacoma left one man injured.

Tacoma police officers were dispatched at 7:30 a.m. to multiple calls reporting a possible shooting in the 4000 block of Center Street. A man suffered multiple gunshot wounds, and officers began live-saving measures. He was transported to a local hospital, according to Tacoma Police Department spokeswoman Officer Shelbie Boyd.

Detectives interviewed a man, presumed to be the alleged shooter, who remained at the shooting scene, Boyd said.

The motive for the shooting was not disclosed. Detectives continue to investigate.
