Father and teenage daughter shot inside their Tacoma home. No suspects identified

A man and his teenage daughter were shot while inside their home in Tacoma on Thursday.

Officers were dispatched to the shooting just after 7 p.m. in the 3400 block of East L Street. The man and teenager were inside the house when bullets came through the walls from the outside, Tacoma Police Department spokesman detective William Muse told The News Tribune.

They were both shot in their “lower extremities,” Muse said, and were taken to a local hospital for their injuries. The teenager was reportedly in surgery, he said. It is currently unknown how severe their injuries were.

Muse could not confirm if the incident was a drive-by shooting. No suspects have been identified.
