A woman found covered in blood while walking down a Parkland road Wednesday night was arrested later for allegedly murdering her husband, according to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies responded at 11:30 p.m. to the 10200 block of Ainsworth Avenue South after a caller to 911 reported that the woman was asking for help. When deputies checked the exterior of a nearby residence, they found a dead 62-year-old man, the Sheriff’s Department said.

“Deputies were told the woman had stabbed her husband,” a news release stated.

Forensic investigators documented the scene and collected evidence, the Sheriff’s Department said.

The 52-year-old woman was arrested and booked into the Pierce County Jail for investigation of second-degree murder.
