Investigators are searching for a man who on Monday robbed a Harborstone Credit Union branch in Spanaway.

The robber walked into the bank in the 100 block of 167th Street South about 9:40 a.m. and slipped on a pair of sunglasses. He then handed a teller a threatening note demanding money.

He put the cash in an envelope and ran away, according to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department.

The robber was a white man in his late 50s or early 60s, about 5 feet 9 inches with a slender build and gray mustache. He was wearing a black leather jacket, light-colored dress shirt, gray cap and sunglasses.
