Domestic dispute in Tacoma apartment ends in man being shot, suffering serious injuries

A domestic dispute at a Tacoma apartment building ended in a shooting that left one man injured early Tuesday morning.

Officers were dispatched at 3:38 a.m. to the 2200 block of Westridge Avenue West after neighbors heard an argument and then possible gunshots, Tacoma Police Department spokesperson officer Shelbie Boyd told The News Tribune.

A man suffered a gunshot wound in the incident, Boyd said. Officers began medical aid until Tacoma Fire Department personnel took over. The man was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.

A woman was arrested and booked into the Pierce County Jail for investigation of first-degree domestic-violence assault.
