Indecent exposure in Tacoma General cafeteria

The cafeteria worker at Tacoma General Hospital noticed a man staring at her, moving from table to table to get a better look.

She ignored him and kept serving customers.

When the cafeteria cleared out, Leonard Hamilton allegedly approached the counter, exposed himself to the worker and returned to a nearby table.

The employee notified security, who called Tacoma police to report the May 15 encounter.

Hamilton, 39, is a convicted child molester with several convictions in Pierce County for failing to register as a sex offender.

He was admitted to the Tacoma General emergency room the day of the incident, though it’s unclear why he sought medical treatment.

Pierce County prosecutors have charged Hamilton with indecent exposure. An arraignment date has not been set, and he is not in custody.
