Man shot last month in Tacoma dies from injuries, police say

A man has died in Tacoma after he was shot on Feb. 27 and taken to a local hospital for his injuries. A homicide investigation is underway. 

A 34-year-old man who was shot last month in Tacoma has died, according to police.

Tacoma officers were dispatched around 1 a.m. Feb. 25 to the 4600 block of Pacific Avenue for reports of gunfire. They found a man injured from gunshot wounds, according to the Tacoma Police Department in a news release.

Tacoma Fire personnel began life-saving measures and took the man to a local hospital, the release said.

The man died from his injuries on Sunday, the release said. No arrests have been made, and the shooting is being investigated as a homicide.
