Tacoma police are investigating a shooting where a teenager was shot in the neck early Thursday morning.

Officers were dispatched at 3:50 a.m. to 6th Avenue and Skyline Drive after several residents in the area reported hearing gunshots. An additional person reported to 911 that they were at the nearby fire station with a 17-year-old boy who was seeking medical aid, Tacoma Police Department’s Sgt. John Correa told The News Tribune.

The teenager was taken to a local hospital and is in stable condition, Correa said.

No suspects are in custody.
