Bonney Lake mother charged in infant’s fentanyl death arrested. Details here

A woman charged in her child’s fentanyl-related death in Pierce County has been arrested.

Karlee Eley, 26, was arrested in Richland on Thursday night after a Kennewick police officer reported a tip that she was in the Tri-Cities area and wanted for manslaughter. Two Richland police officers spotted Eley about 40 minutes later in the 1900 block of Jadwin Avenue, according to the department on Facebook.

Eley was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Benton County Jail, the post said. Jail records show Eley was booked at 9:30 p.m.

Eley’s 1-year-old son, Weston Tucker, died from acute fentanyl toxicity in March. Prosecutors allege there was fentanyl in parts of the Bonney Lake apartment unit where Weston resided with Eley and the boy’s father, Nicholas Lee Tucker. It is also alleged there was fentanyl in the bed where Weston was found unresponsive, according to charging documents.

Nicholas Tucker also has been charged with first-degree manslaughter. He pleaded not guilty to the charge during his arraignment June 6. He is being held at the Pierce County Jail on a $1 million bail.

Nicholas Lee Tucker, 33, is charged with first-degree manslaughter after his 15-month child died of acute fentanyl toxicity on March 18 in Bonney Lake, at Pierce County Superior Court, on Friday, June 6, 2025, in Tacoma, Wash.
