Man shot near Tacoma’s Salishan neighborhood. No arrests made, police say

A man was shot Tuesday evening near the Salishan area of Tacoma.

Officers were dispatched at 6:39 p.m. to the 2000 block of East 59th Street for the shooting. The man was taken to a hospital in critical condition. As of last night he is stable, Tacoma Police Department officer Shelbie Boyd told The News Tribune.

The shooter is reportedly an adult, but no one is in custody, she said.

Boyd said the relationship between the shooter and victim is unknown. It is also not known the motive for the shooting.
