Multiple people hit in string of burglaries in Pierce County, deputies say
Multiple people in the Graham and South Hill area were hit in a rash of burglaries early Monday morning, the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office says.
Deputies were dispatched to the 13900 block of 197th Street East for multiple calls about the burglaries and vehicle prowls between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. Two people got away with cash, firearms, vehicle key fobs, jewelry, laptops and garage-door opens, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release.
Two houses and at least one car were hit. At least one of the homes had people inside, and the two alleged burglars ran off when confronted, according to a Sheriff’s Office spokesperson.
No one had been arrested as of Wednesday afternoon, and the Sheriff’s Office was asking for help in identifying the two people suspected in the burglaries.
“If [you] live in or around the following areas please review your cameras: the 13900 block of 197th St. E. in the Day Break neighborhood of Graham, 8200 block of 230th St. Ct. E. in Graham and 16800 block of 124th Ave. E. in the South Hill/Sunrise area,” the release said.
Anyone with footage is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office non-emergency number at 253-287-4455 or use the links on the office’s Facebook post to submit footage.
