A shooting in Tacoma left a man badly injured early Friday morning.

Officers were dispatched around 12:45 a.m. to the 5600 block of South Thompson Avenue for a shooting. The man was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, Tacoma Police Department spokesperson officer Shelbie Boyd told The News Tribune.

No arrests have been made, she said.

It is unclear how many times the man was shot.

Boyd did not have information on whether the shooting was targeted or not. She said she is not aware of any threats to the public.
