Stabbing victim dies at Tacoma hospital — homicide investigation underway

A man brought to a Tacoma hospital with a stab wound died Sunday evening, and Tacoma police are investigating the case as a homicide.

The initial report came around 8:30 p.m., according to department statement on social media. Tacoma officers responded to a local hospital for a report of a possible stabbing victim.

The man, brought to the hospital by unidentified people, died at the facility before officers arrived. Officers subsequently found an apparent crime scene in the 1200 block of South M Street, in the city’s Hilltop neighborhood.

The case remains active.

“There are no suspects in custody at this time,” the department’s statement said. “Anyone with information related to this case is asked to call 911.”
