Man dies in jump from Tacoma Narrows bridge

A man died Thursday after jumping off the eastbound Tacoma Narrows Bridge, authorities reported.

The man jumped about 10 a.m. His identity has not yet been confirmed.

Police and firefighters from Tacoma and Gig Harbor responded to the scene, and officers aboard a Gig Harbor police boat recovered the man’s body about 30 minutes later.
