One dead after shooting in Tacoma

A man is dead after a shooting in Tacoma early Monday morning.

According to a news release from the Tacoma Police Department, the shooting happened at about 12:36 a.m. in the 1000 block of South Tacoma Way.

When officers arrived, they found a man with “possible gunshot wounds,” according to the release. Authorities transported him to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

“Detectives and Crime Scene Technicians are actively investigating this incident as a homicide. There are no suspects in custody at this time,” the release said. “Anyone with information related to this case is asked to call 911.”
