Alleged squatter sells Puyallup family’s appliances, tools
The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department is investigating after an apparent squatter sold a family’s tools and appliances out of their Puyallup home.
KING-TV reported that Ed Saurs and his family have owned their home in Puyallup for 25 years. They recently purchased a home in Bellingham and were preparing to sell their old house while living elsewhere.
At some point a man moved in and started posting their possessions on Craigslist.
When Saurs pulled up to the house recently, he found a man in the kitchen asking about the microwave he had purchased. The seller was caught on a neighbor’s surveillance video running away from the property.
The suspect sold the family’s washer, dryer, refrigerator, stove, mattress, television and tools.
