A Gig Harbor man was arrested and a Bremerton man flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after they were involved in a collision Friday night near the Purdy spit.
Police say they believe alcohol was involved.
A Washington State Patrol report gives this account:
A 39-year-old Gig Harbor man was parked on the eastbound shoulder of state Route 302 at the Purdy spit at 10:42 p.m.

He attempted a U-turn in his 2008 Toyota FJ sport utility vehicle and hit a 56-year-old Bremerton man who was on a motorcycle.
The Bremerton man, who was wearing a helmet, was thrown from the motorcycle. He was taken to Harborview for treatment.
State troopers arrested the Gig Harbor man on suspicion of driving under the influence. He could face charges of vehicular assault. He was also injured in the collision.
