Investigators seek armed man accused in robbery at Pierce County store
Detectives are searching for a man accused of firing his gun three times while robbing an Autozone store in Pierce County.
Pierce County prosecutors have charged Terry Moser, 35, with three counts of first-degree robbery, first-degree assault and first-degree unlawful possession of a firearm for the Sept. 9 holdup.
Moser, who is bald, allegedly wore a brown wig when he walked into the shop in the 17300 block of Pacific Avenue, pointed a 9mm handgun at the clerk and demanded money.
Three people were working and two customers were inside the store at the time.
Accoding to charging papers, Moser fired into the ceiling after demanding money from the clerk, shot a second time into the business as he backed out the door and shot at an employee in the parking lot, hitting two vehicles.
No one was hurt.
A sheriff’s deputy spotted the robber speeding away and tried to pull him over. But the robber ran a stop sign and got away. He abandoned his car after apparently running into a log and disabling the vehicle.
Deputies later found the car and linked a handgun, stolen money and a wig to Moser, records show.
He has not been arrested.
Moser has at least 16 prior convictions for assault, unlawful possession of a firearm, escape, custodial assault, bail jumping, malicious mischief and taking a vehicle with the owner’s permission, court records show.
