Man booked into jail after fatal Milton wreck
Milton police booked a man into jail after they said the car he was driving rolled and his passenger died in the Sept. 13 wreck.
He was taken to a hospital with serious injuries after the crash that killed 34-year-old Christine Pedro, and officers took him to jail Friday afternoon.
The man was booked on suspicion of second-degree murder, vehicular homicide, drug possession, eluding police, reckless driving, driving with a suspended or revoked license, and having drug paraphernalia.
The News Tribune does not generally name suspects before they have been charged with a crime.
Police gave this account:
An officer saw the car driving erratically about 4:45 a.m. in the 1500 block of Taylor Street, and the officer followed it for a few blocks before it went into a ditch and rolled at 10th Avenue and Porter Way.
Both the driver and Pedro were taken to a hospital, where Pedro later died.
Further information wasn’t immediately available.
