Police spokeswoman Loretta Cool said it appeared to be an attempted homicide followed by a suicide.
Witnesses reported gunshots near the restaurant at South 72nd Street near Interstate 5 about 3:30 a.m.
Police arrived to find two people suffering from gunshot wounds inside the car, Cool said.

It appeared one person shot the other and then turned the gun on himself or herself.
