Authorities are questioning a man seen running from the area where a man was fatally shot near Seattle-Tacoma International Airport Thursday afternoon.
The shooting occurred near South 154th Street and 24th Avenue South, according to King County sheriff’s spokeswoman Sgt. Cindi West.
As of 6:30 p.m., investigators were questioning a man who ran into some woods. Authorities spotted him from a helicopter, and SWAT officers moved in to hold him for questioning, she said.
It’s unclear at this point he’s involved in the shooting, West said.
“We have a lot more questions than answers right now,” she said.
Medics found the victim on the ground with apparent gunshot wounds when they arrived after 4:13 p.m., West said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
