Police: Student with knife taken off Tacoma school bus; No threats made

Police took a student off a school bus shortly before 4 p.m. Tuesday in Tacoma for having a knife, police spokeswoman Loretta Cool said.

The bus was stopped at North 13th Street and North Heatherwood East.

Another student reported the knife, and the driver contacted police, Cool said.

She said no threats were made, and that the student who had the knife would likely be released to parents.
