Buckley man killed in head-on wreck west of Enumclaw

A Buckley man died Saturday night in a head-on crash west of Enumclaw, the Washington State Patrol said.

A 56-year-old Auburn woman was driving a west on state Route 164 when her car crossed the centerline and hit a pickup truck head on, according to troopers.

Walter Frick, the 69-year-old driver of the truck, died at the scene.

The Auburn woman and Frick’s 67-year-old passenger, a Buckley woman, were hurt and taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

Drugs or alcohol were involved, the State Patrol said.
