App helps holiday revelers get rides

People planning to imbibe on Thanksgiving can hire a designated driver through a service called BeMyDD.

Tacoma-area residents can schedule a driver online or through the company’s mobile app.

That driver shows up, and gets clients where they need to go by driving the customer’s own vehicle.

It’s between $14 to $19.50 an hour for a driver, or $25 and a mileage fee for a car pickup service. Event service is also available.

New customers can use the code TURKEYDAY for a $20 holiday discount.
