Investigators seek robber in Santa mask who held up Parkland gas station

Detectives are trying to identify a man who robbed a Parkland-area gas station last month while wearing a Santa mask.

The robbery happened about 12:10 a.m. on Nov. 12 at the Union 76 in the 10500 block of South Steele Street.

Investigators said the man showed a black handgun, ordered the customers and an employee to put their phones on the counter, demanded cash from the register while pointing the gun, and left with the money.

He’s described as black, 5 foot 8, 180 pounds, and was wearing a black quilted coat, dark jeans, gloves and a ski mask that had a Santa beard and mustache.

Anyone with information is asked to call 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Tips are anonymous and can lead to a reward.
