Armed, masked man robs Tacoma bank
An armed man held up a Tacoma bank on Monday.
The robbery happened about 11:50 a.m. at the Umpqua Bank branch in the 1200 block of South Pearl Street.
A man with a mask over his face pulled out a handgun after entering the bank and demanded cash from the tellers, police said. He then put the money in a backpack and walked out.
The robber is described as a white man in his 20s, about 5 feet, 10 inches to 6 feet and 165 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded jacket, black gloves and blue jeans with a black scarf covering his face. He carried a red and gray backpack.
