Man killed in shooting near Renton

King County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating an early morning shooting that killed a man in his 20s near Renton.

Detectives say a patrol officer responded to South 126th Street and Renton Avenue South in Skyway after hearing shots fired about 4 a.m. Sunday.

The officer found a red car partially in the roadway with the driver slumped over the wheel.

Medics responded to the scene but were unable to resuscitate the man who suffered a gunshot wound.

Witnesses reported seeing the suspected shooters fleeing the area in a silver or gray Chevrolet Impala.
