A stolen dump truck filled with expensive equipment was found by Lakewood police Wednesday.

The department posted an update on social media saying officers were still searching for a trailer, backhoe and the thief.

The dump truck, a trailer and backhoe were stolen Christmas Day from AA Asphalt. The thief removed the company logos from the truck, and employees kept spotting it around town after it was stolen.

Since the truck was taken, AA Asphalt employees have seen it being driven down the road or stopped at a gas station.

Police were able to get a photo of the suspect from the gas station’s surveillance camera.

Co-owner John Alcorn estimated the trailer and backhoe to be worth about $150,000.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or the Lakewood police tip line at 253-830-5064.
