Sex offender registrations in Pierce County
The following convicted sex offenders have recently registered to live in Pierce County.
Each is categorized as a Level 3 sex offender — those considered most likely to commit similar crimes. None is wanted by law enforcement officers at this time.
All convicted sex offenders registered to live in Tacoma and Pierce County are listed on the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department’s website at piercesheriff.org.
Douglas J. Edwards
Age: 59.
Description: 5 feet 4 and 150 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes.
Where registered to live: 4300 block of South Yakima Avenue, Tacoma.
Criminal history: Convicted in 1975 of first-degree rape while armed with a deadly weapon in Clark County for breaking into a woman’s home and sexually assaulting her at gunpoint. Has eight convictions for failing to register as a sex offender since 2001.
Sex offender treatment: Participated in but did not complete a treatment program.

John E. Thomas
Age: 51.
Description: 6 feet 1 and 210 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
Where registered to live: 4600 block of East G Street, Tacoma.
Criminal history: Convicted in 2005 of first-degree child molestation in Kitsap County for repeatedly sexually assaulting two foster children, a 2-year-old girl and a 5-year-old boy.
Sex offender treatment: Participated in a treatment program while incarcerated.

Donte J. Davis
Age: 27.
Description: 5 feet 8 and 165 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
Where registered to live: 7300 block of South J Street, Tacoma.
Criminal history: Convicted in 2002 of second-degree rape in Thurston County for sexually assaulting a developmentally delayed woman.
Sex offender treatment: Participated in a treatment program while incarcerated.
