Spanaway man gets 51 months in prison for abusing boy, 3
A Spanaway man accused of beating a 3-year-old boy and making him inhale smoke from a bong pleaded guilty Friday to three counts of third-degree child assault.
Superior Court Judge Jerry Costello sentenced Michael Robertson to four years, three months in prison.
Robertson, 31, was arrested in November after a passerby found a memory card alongside a road in Graham. The woman took the card home and discovered it held several videos of a man, later identified as Robertson, abusing a small boy, court records show.
Robertson told detectives he sometimes babysat the boy for a friend and would beat him “because he was bad,” the records show.
