Second, third arrests made in Tacoma fatal shooting
Tacoma police made two more arrests Tuesday in the Nov. 2 fatal shooting of Elijah Crawford, 18.
Pierce County prosecutors expected to arraign the men Wednesday in Superior Court. The News Tribune is not naming the man until he is charged.
Alberto Colt-Sarmiento, 22, was arrested Nov. 16 and charged with first-degree murder in connection with Crawford’s death. He is being held in lieu of $1 million bail.
Crawford, a 2015 graduate of Lincoln High School, was shot to death in the 1800 block of East 44th Street.
According to police, Colt-Sarmiento arranged to meet one of Crawford’s friends to fight him. Crawford and another friend went along to observe, court records show.
When they arrived, police said, a man wearing a bandana over his face opened fire, fatally shooting Crawford and wounding one of his friends.
