Man shot, wounded in Tacoma
A 22-year-old Tacoma man was shot four times at his home late Wednesday, police said.
The shooting happened about 10 p.m. in the 1000 block of North Villard Street in a shed where the victim lived behind his mother’s house.
He told police he was sleeping when his mother’s boyfriend and another man who lived in the house kicked in the shed door and put a gun to his head.
The victim pulled away and at least one man opened fire, police said. Witnesses said the man was shot twice in the abdomen, once in the wrist and in both legs.
Detectives were unsure what prompted the shooting but said the victim and his mother’s boyfriend have a history of not getting along.
The mother’s 44-year-old boyfriend was arrested Wednesday after fleeing the scene. The second shooter is not in custody.
The victim was listed in stable condition Thursday.
