The crime was a burglary, the weapon of choice was a hammer and the haul was $14,000 worth of marijuana stolen from a Parkland store.

Surveillance video at The Gallery showed two men smashing the door handle, packing marijuana, cash and three laptop computers into bags and fleeing in a maroon Toyota Camry.

The burglary at the recreational marijuana store at 13005 Pacific Ave. S. happened about 4:30 a.m. Nov. 15.

Despite the video, Pierce County sheriff’s detectives have been unable to identify the two men and hope releasing surveillance photos of the robbers will generate tips and help them arrest the men.

Both appear to be in their 20s with slender builds. One was white and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and a red T-shirt. The other was a light-skinned black man with long curly hair worn in a bun and possibly a tattoo on the left side of his neck. He wore a red hooded sweatshirt and black shorts.

Anyone with information is asked to call Tacoma-Pierce County Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS.
