Pierce County deputy court clerk pleads guilty to trying to find girls for sadistic sex
A Pierce County Superior Court deputy clerk accused of using his job to find underage girls to have sex with and beat up pleaded guilty Monday to commercial sexual abuse of a minor.
James Porter, 48, was accused of using records he had access to as a court clerk to get the phone number of a woman he knew had a history of prostitution.
Then, according to charging papers:
In September, Porter asked the woman to find him someone he could pay for sex and to attack. He also sent the woman photos of injured women he said he’d beaten up.
He asked whether the woman knew someone he could punch, whip “and maybe even cut with a knife.” He eventually requested an underage girl, at which point the woman went to police.
Porter’s sentencing is set for later this year.
He faces a standard range of one year, nine months in prison, to two years, three months. As part of his pinishment he will be required to register as a sex offender.
Porter worked for the Clerk’s Office for 20 years, and had no known criminal history before the recent charge.
