A man accused of exchanging nude photos with a Lakewood teenager pleaded guilty to child pornography charges Tuesday.
Pierce County Superior Court Judge Stanley Rumbaugh sentenced Carl Lee Tennison to 2 1/2 years in prison for each of the two counts of first-degree possession of child pornography.
The judge said Tennison, 43, can serve those sentences at the same time.
Prosecutors dropped five other counts of child pornography.
According to court records:
The mother of a 16-year-old boy called police in January 2015, to say she found inappropriate discussions with Tennison on the boy’s phone.
The boy told investigators he exchanged nude photos with the man, and that they had sexual conversations.
Detectives found child pornography at Tennison’s home, and when interviewed, he told them he estimated he downloaded between 500 and 1,000 images.
Tennison was accused of having child pornography in 2009, and ended up pleading guilty to communication with a minor for immoral purposes.
