Two dead in three shootings in Federal Way on Monday

Two men were killed and one wounded Monday after three unrelated shootings in Federal Way, police said.

The most recent shooting occurred about 11:45 p.m. in the 2200 block of South 333rd Way.

Police were called after passers-by saw a man slumped over the wheel of a vehicle. The 27-year-old Tacoma man was pronounced dead at the scene and appeared to have been shot in the neck.

He has not been identified.

Detectives believe the man was shot where he was found, but have not released a motive. No one has been arrested.

The first shooting took place about 1 a.m. at an apartment complex in the 1300 block of Southwest Campus Drive. A 26-year-old Seattle man was found fatally shot in the back.

Police have made no arrest or released information about what led to the homicide, but said it might have been a robbery.

In the second shooting, a 21-year-old Federal Way man was accidentally shot in the chest by a 19-year-old in a car as they rode together in the 3000 block of South 266th Street about 9 a.m.

That man was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and is expected to survive.
