Sex offender registrations in Pierce County

The following convicted sex offenders have recently registered to live in Pierce County.

Each is categorized as a Level 3 sex offender — those considered most likely to commit similar crimes. None is wanted by law enforcement officers at this time.

All convicted sex offenders registered to live in Tacoma and Pierce County are listed on the Sheriff’s Department’s website at piercesheriff.org.

Orion A. Jones

Age: 20.

Description: 5 feet 8 and 190 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.

Where registered to live: 3000 block of South Melrose Street, Tacoma.

Criminal history: Convicted in 2009 of third-degree assault with sexual motivation in Pierce County for sexually assaulting a 5-year-old girl. Convicted in 2011 of attempted first-degree child molestation in Pierce County for sexually assaulting a 3-year-old girl.

Sex offender treatment: Participated in a treatment program while incarcerated.

Michael Montgomery

Age: 39.

Description: 5 feet 11 and 310 pounds, brown hair and blue eyes.

Where registered to live: 3900 block of South 36th Street.

Criminal history: Convicted in 1991 of first-degree child molestation in Pierce County for sexually assaulting a 4-year-old girl. Convicted in 2005 of second-degree assault with sexual motivation in Pierce County for sexually assaulting a 6-year-old girl

Sex offender treatment: Participated in a treatment program while incarcerated.

Richard Turay

Age: 66.

Description: 6 feet 4 and 170 pounds, gray hair with blue eyes.

Where registered to live: 2100 block of South M Street, Tacoma.

Criminal history: Convicted in 1977 of second-degree rape and third-degree rape, in 1980 of second-degree rape and in 1986 for second-degree rape. All crimes involved sexual assaults and threats against women he didn’t know.

Sex offender treatment: Participated in a treatment program while incarcerated and was recently released from the Special Commitment Center after 25 years.

Artemus R. Hubbard

Age: 56.

Description: 5 feet 10 and 195 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Where registered to live: 2000 block of South Seventh Street, Tacoma.

Criminal history: Convicted in 1990 of third-degree rape in Pierce County for sexually assaulting a woman. Convicted in 1994 of third-degree rape in Pierce County for sexually assaulting his live-in girlfriend.

Sex offender treatment: Did not participate in a treatment program while incarcerated.
