ATM stolen from Puyallup pub
Investigators are trying to identify the people who stole an ATM machine from a Puyallup pub.
The theft occurred between 1 a.m. and 4:55 a.m. Friday (Aug. 12) at Summit Pub, 9502 Canyon Road E.
Surveillance video shows a man throw a rock through the glass front door of the pub to get inside. He then drags the ATM machine out of the bar, loads it into an SUV and slides into the passenger seat.
The ATM was found later that day along the roadway in the 13200 block of Canyon Road East. Detectives believe tools were used to pry open the machine and take $260.
The getaway car was a dark blue or black late 1990s to early 2000s Ford Expedition with a gray or tan bumper and stock running boards.
The man who broke into the pub is described as light-skinned with a large build. He either has a full sleeve of tattoos on his right forearm or several individual tattoos.
Anyone with information on the burglary or suspects is asked to call Tacoma-Pierce County Crimestoppers at 800-222-TIPS (8477).
