Saint Martin’s University seeks donations ‘For Every Saint,’ sets goal at $100 million

Saint Martin’s University has announced the public launch of a fundraising campaign titled, “For Every Saint,” hoping to raise money to ensure the university and abbey “remain accessible and relevant for future generations,” according to a press release.

The private Benedictine university in Lacey already has raised more than $82 million toward its $100 million goal.

According to the news release, the campaign seeks to raise funds for three purposes: to attract and retain diverse and dedicated faculty and enhance academic programs; for future construction and renovation projects; and to provide more scholarship and grant funding to students.

Saint Martin’s president Roy Heynderickx said in the release that the university has added graduate programs, including its first doctoral degree, tripled its endowment, and increased enrollment.

“Through decades of change and growth, Saint Martin’s has become a comprehensive institution offering transformational undergraduate and graduate programs to one of the most diverse student populations in the Pacific Northwest,” he said in the release.
