Amy Eveskcige is new superintendent of Chief Leschi Schools

The Puyallup Tribe of Indians and Chief Leschi School Board have hired Amy Eveskcige as the new superintendent of Chief Leschi Schools, which is operated by the tribe.

Eveskcige came to Tacoma Public Schools from the Puyallup School District in September 2013 as Executive Director of Teaching and Learning, where she led talent recruitment and implementation of Tacoma’s new teacher evaluation system.

“My time in Tacoma has been great,” Eveskcige said. “I am a Puyallup tribal member. There’s no greater honor than to go back and serve my community.”
