Clover Park district plans a phone survey

The Clover Park School District will conduct a phone survey this month to collect the Lakewood area’s impressions and opinions of the district.

Officials are encouraging community members to participate in the anonymous, 38-question survey.

Pacific Market Research will begin making calls Tuesday and will continue through Sept. 24. The survey is estimated to take less than 15 minutes to complete.

Online homework help available from library

The Tacoma Public Library is offering online homework help for students.

The resources provide assistance with homework assignments, report writing, Internet research, preparations for tests, including the ACT and SAT, preparations for the GED and U.S. citizenship.

The link —tacomapubliclibrary.org/Page.aspx?nid=15 — is available from 1-10 p.m. daily and is available in English and Spanish.

School meal assistance is offered to families

The state Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction is encouraging eligible families to apply for a free and reduced-price meal program.

The application is confidential, and packets are sent to all households at the beginning of the school year.

Households with income levels below certain thresholds are encouraged to apply.

Applications may be submitted anytime during the year if family circumstances change.
