List of school closures in Pierce County due to weather

Here’s a list of schools in Pierce County that are starting late or closed Wednesday due to the weather:

Bethel School District: Closed.

Chief Leschi Schools: Two hours late. Buses are on road restriction routes.

Franklin Pierce School District: Gates High School and New Pathways School closed due to power outage.

Orting School District: Closed due to lack of power and roads blocked by fallen trees.

Puyallup School District: Edgerton, Fruitland and Pope schools closed because of power outages. No after school activities.

White River School District: Starting two hours late. No after-school activities.

Cascade Christian Schools: Frederickson campus is closed.

Carbonado School District: The schools in this area had power outages earlier, but school will start on time since the electricity is back on.
