Eastside Tacoma road will be reduced to one lane Saturday for maintenance

A two-lane road in Tacoma’s Eastside neighborhood will be reduced to one lane Saturday while crews perform road maintenance, the city said.

Crews will be working on Pioneer Way East between River Road East and East Browning Street, near the Puyallup River. The work will occur between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

A flagger will be in place to help direct traffic.

The city did not say it expected traffic delays.
