Pierce County deputies are investigating a two-vehicle rollover collision northwest of Puyallup on Wednesday morning that put a semi-truck on its side in the roadway. Deputies said the road would be closed “for quite some time.”
The collision occurred near Canyon Road East and Pioneer Way East, according to a tweet from the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department. Deputies said Pioneer Way East was closed.
It wasn’t immediately clear how the collision occurred, or what kind of vehicle was involved aside from the semi-truck. Deputies said at least one person sustained injuries that were not life-threatening.
Deputies advised drivers to use alternate routes through the area.
