A crash in Tacoma blocked traffic for half a mile on Thursday morning.

Traffic was blocked during the morning commute on eastbound state Route 16 at milepost 1.16 near South Union Avenue at 8:34 a.m. The right lane was blocked, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.

Two vehicles crashed into each other on the highway and no one was injured. The Tacoma Fire Department was on the scene to make sure everyone involved was doing okay, Washington State Patrol Trooper John Dattilo told The News Tribune.

The crash cleared up around 9:45 a.m.
