A state highway entrance ramp in Pierce County is closed after a semi-truck flipped on its side Tuesday afternoon.

The semi-truck is partially blocking the on-ramp from Canyon Road East to westbound state Route 512 in Summit, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation at 11:47 a.m.

There are no reported injuries, Washington State Patrol trooper John Dattilo said on X.

Dattilo said the semi-truck driver was driving negligently and did not wear a seat belt. The driver received several tickets as a result of the crash, Dattilo said.

1:20 p.m. update: The roadway has cleared from the crash, Dattilo wrote in an update.
