11:35 a.m. update: This crash has cleared.

Original post: A crash on Interstate 5 near the Tacoma Dome has blocked the southbound HOV lane Tuesday morning.

The crash at milepost 134.1 was reported at 10:33 a.m., according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.

A driver heading south swerved to avoid a crash with another vehicle. When the driver swerved, they struck an attenuator truck that was in the HOV lane. The truck was there to block the lane for a Department of Transportation maintenance project, Washington State Patrol Trooper John Dattilo told The News Tribune.

There was no information on whether someone was inside the truck. There were no injuries reported, he said.

Dattilo said after the crash clears up, the HOV lane will be blocked for the maintenance project. A tow truck was called to the scene.

Traffic was delayed past the Puyallup River bridge.

This is a developing story, check back for updates.
