A three-car crash between Parkland and Spanaway on state Route 7 blocked a turn lane Tuesday.

The southbound left turn lane was blocked near Military Road South and 152nd Street South, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation at 10:43 a.m.

A driver was reportedly driving northbound on SR 7 and ran a red light. The driver struck a vehicle that was going through a green light westbound on Military Road, Washington State Patrol Trooper Daniel Southard told The News Tribune.

Then the driver who ran the red light hit another vehicle that was stopped at a red light in the SR 7 left turn lane at Military Road.

No one was suspected to be impaired and the driver who hit the two vehicles was cited for second-degree negligent driving, Southard said.

All three vehicles were towed. No injuries were reported.

The road was blocked for about 30 minutes.
